ACV Mineral Tonic
May 10, 2020My Personal Experience
I have been drinking ACV Mineral Tonic for the past 36 days. I have seen a great improvement in 3 main areas so far.
1) My digestive system is functioning at a healthier level.
2) My hair is shinier and straighter.
3) A boost of energy. No longer am I reaching for caffeine in the morning.
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV):
This golden elixir is loaded with nutrients such as antioxidants, acetic acid, and amino acids. It is fermented and also a natural probiotic. Scientific-based studies have shown that ACV can aid in weight loss, insulin sensitivity, lowering cholesterol, lowering blood pressure, and improving heart health. This results in loads of benefits packed into one easy to absorb product.
I prefer to use Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar because it is organic, unrefined, and contains a substance termed “mother”, which consists of strands of proteins, enzymes, and friendly bacteria that give the product a murky appearance. A good trick to know if what you are buying is the best quality is to look at the condition of the liquid. If it is clear and easy to see through, then the ACV has been highly processed and possibly void of all the nutrients you are seeking. Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar is quite murky and exactly what you want.
I enjoy learning about ancient cultures and how they would make and use various ingredients. This article is a great read if you are curious about the history of ACV. Vinegar History: How the Ancients Benefited from Vinegar.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE)
A fine white powder made from the sediment of fossilized algae which has high compounds of silica. While for years I have known about this product as a natural pesticide for gardening, I didn’t realize DE offers so much more than riding my flower beds of pesky varmints. Lately, I have been researching how DE is beneficial for personal health. Last year when studying homeopathic cell salts I learned about Silica and have been looking for natural ways to boost my intake of this mineral. One of the books I read is called 12 Essential Minerals For Cellular Health: An Introduction to Cell Salts and is written by David R. Card, who is a Certified Nutritionist, Certified Homeopath, and a Master Herbalist. This book is a quick read and a great introduction to cell salts. However, I mention it here because I wanted to share a quote from this book about silica and its benefits.
“Silica is a connective tissue remedy, working on the connective tissue cells directly, also on collagen and elastic tissues. It works to prevent and treat wrinkles, and to prevent signs of old age. Silica is used for weakness of the immune system. Used for weak and anxious children. It has a direct effect on the white blood cells. It has an effect on the absorption of cellular byproducts, diseases and foreign substances. It works on infections, pus, and scar tissue, and helps build white blood cells.”
In a nutshell, Diatomaceous Earth offers beneficial minerals that our bodies need, it is also shockingly inexpensive. I prefer Harris Diatomaceous Earth because it has no taste at all and it is listed with the Organic Minerals Research Institute (OMRI), a non-profit organization that reviews products against organic standards.
(If you are looking to add to your reading list about cell salts I would also recommend Dr. Schuessler’s Biochemistry and Homeopathic Cell Salt Remedies)
ACV Mineral Tonic only has 3 ingredients and is super easy to add to any wellness regimen. I drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. If by chance I eat before drinking it, I will drink it before lunch or dinner.
