Dill Super Grain Blend

Equipment

  • 2 Qt saucepan
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • 10’ sauté pan

Reheating

  1. Preheat the oven to 350.
  2. Sprinkle 1 tbsp water over mix.
  3. Sprinkle 1 tsp avocado oil over mix and stir.
  4. Place in the over for about 10 minutes.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Super Grain Blend
  • 2 Cups chicken stock
  • 1 ½ tsp dill, dried
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • ⅓ cup pine nuts, toasted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½  tsp white pepper
  • 4 Thai Basil Leaves, chopped
Instructions
  1. Put Super Grain Blend in the fine mesh strainer and rinse, then place in a small saucepan. Add 2 cups of chicken stock/broth and 1/2 tsp salt.  Place the lid on the pan and bring to  boil then reduce heat to low.
  2. Toast the pine nuts in a  small sauté pan until golden brown. No need to add any oil. Just continue to stir the pine nuts until they are a toasted brown color. Set aside.
  3. Once all water has been absorbed let the mix rest for approximately 5 minutes
  4. Fluff with a fork.
  5. Add Dill, coconut oil, toasted pine nuts, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp white pepper, Thai basil leaves. Mix well.
